As a long hot summer day was winding to an end we decided to make a detour to a remote village in the mountains, whose main attraction are the waterfalls. We were there too late to actually visit the falls, but got to witness a beautiful dusk across the valley as the sun was disappearing behind the mountains. I captured this image in the final moments and even if it wasn't the golden hour, the play of light made the shape of the valley really stand out. I enjoy the level of detail I was able to capture and the fact that there is very little man-made structures visible. Of course the careful observer will find the odd structure, such as electricity lines and a cell tower, but they do not stand out.
